Ingredients

  • Peaches: 1.5 kg
  • Pears: 1.5 kg
  • Green, seedless grapes (slightly underripe): 0.5 kg
  • Maraschino cherries (jarred): 300 g
  • Sugar: 3 cups
  • Water: 4 cups

The total volume: Approximately 3 liters

  1. Sort the grapes, wash them, and soak in a solution of ascorbic acid or lemon juice. Blanch the peaches in boiling water for 1-1.5 minutes to facilitate peeling, then cool in water and peel. Halve the peaches, remove the pits, and cut into 1/2 inch cubes; store in the solution along with the grapes. Peel the pears, halve them, remove the cores, cut into 1/2 inch cubes, and also store in the solution. Preparation:
